I like to step back and review my past work, often waiting a year or two before my evaluation. I’ve always held the opinion, that if I would build the piece exactly the same, not making a single change, it was a successful piece for me. This page features some of those pieces.
Most of these pieces started with a simple idea- either in my mind, or a client's imagination. Collaboration isn't difficult; if someone can envision a piece, I'm usually able to draw it and come up with a solution. One thing I've learned, however, is that my studio is not equipped to build certain pieces. There are certain operations I've either chosen not to perform, such as veneering and or spraying finishes on my pieces. If a client is dead set on having those aspects in a piece, I will do my best to recommend another woodworker.
